Jennifer is the senior author of the new book, Teacher, Take Care: A Guide to Well-Being and Workplace Wellness for Educators.
She is also the originator and program editor of the Hands-On series published by Portage & Main Press. When she is not busy writing new books, Jennifer can be found presenting keynote addresses, running highly-engaging interactive workshops, and facilitating courses related to her publications. Jennifer is a former classroom teacher, resource and special education teacher, consultant, principal, university instructor, and school trustee.

Jennifer is one of the founders of Mission to Mexico, an organization that supports schools in some of the most impoverished communities in Puerto Vallarta. She and her family have supported, fundraised, and worked in these schools for over 15 years. Her two sons, Devon and Jeremy, were recently awarded the Governor General’s Sovereign Medal for Volunteers in recognition of the family’s philanthropy in Mexico.
Jennifer is just as active outside of work as she is on the job! She has a busy family life with her husband, Barry, sons, Devon and Jeremy, as well as their two dogs, Finn and Lizzie.
Jennifer walks daily in nature with friends, enjoys music and dance through Zumba classes, and is a passionate concert-goer and traveler.
